Utility work began in November 2024 and will continue until February 2025.

Vertical construction is scheduled to start in Spring 2025 and be completed in Summer 2027.

The traffic control plan was finalized in collaboration with the City of Lubbock. In December 2024, traffic control signage began directing traffic around temporary street closures.

The current road closure is on the eastbound lane of 15th Street between between Avenue W and Avenue V. This closure is anticipated to open up in late April. An additional road closure is along 14th Street between University Avenue and Avenue X. The intersection at 15th Street and Avenue X is currently closed and will reopen mid May.
